Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Sunset Gaming LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as We Post It (referred to in this Privacy Policy as "We Post It," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with this website (we-post-it-full.vercel.app), text messages, and the We Post It service (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, starting an account, texting us, or making a payment, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
1. Who We Are
We Post It is operated by Sunset Gaming LLC, a Texas limited liability company. We Post It is a DBA (doing business as) name of Sunset Gaming LLC, not a separate legal entity. When you see a charge on your card statement, it will appear as WE POST IT. Our principal place of business is in Texas, United States. We are not a law firm, and we do not provide legal advice.
2. Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect when you use the Service, including when you visit this website, submit information through the Start form, text us, or otherwise interact with us in connection with the Service. The Service consists of a one-page shop website we host for you, assistance starting a Facebook page, posting photos you send us to Facebook, and setup help for Google Business Profile. This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, or platforms such as Google, Facebook, Apple Maps, Bing, Stripe, Yelp, Nextdoor, or Foursquare, each of which has its own privacy policy.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide to Us
When you use the Service, we collect the following information that you provide directly to us:
- Shop Information: Shop name, ZIP, and phone number. This is the minimum information required to start the Service.
- Email Address: If you provide an email address, we collect it. The email address is where payment receipts are sent. Providing an email address is optional.
- Photos and Words: Photos you text to us or upload, and any captions, descriptions, or other text you send with those photos or separately.
- Service Preferences: Hours of operation, additional towns or service areas, website look or palette preferences, and other information you tell us about your shop or preferences for the website we build for you.
- Text Messages: The content of text messages you send to us and our replies. Text messages are how we communicate with you about the Service, how you send us photos and change requests, and how you contact us for help.
3.2 Information We May Copy From Your Existing Google Business Profile
If you already have a Google Business Profile listing when you start the Service, we may copy information from that listing so you do not have to retype it. This may include hours of operation, street address, business category, and other public information visible on your existing Google listing. We copy this information only to make setup easier for you. We do not create or claim ownership of your Google listing. You remain the owner of your Google Business Profile.
3.3 Payment Information
We use Stripe, a third-party payment processor, to handle credit card and debit card payments. Stripe collects and processes your payment card information. We do not store or have access to your full credit card or debit card number. We receive from Stripe only a confirmation that you paid, the amount paid, the date of payment, a receipt identifier, and the last four digits of the card for recordkeeping and support purposes. Stripe's use of your payment information is governed by Stripe's privacy policy, available at stripe.com.
3.4 Cookies and Local Storage
We use browser local storage (a technology similar to cookies) to remember whether you selected English or Spanish as your language preference and the last ZIP code you entered in the checkout form. This allows the website to display content in your preferred language and prefill the ZIP field when you return.
We may log your connection's nearby city, ZIP code, state, and country (from your internet connection's approximate location), referrer (the page you came from), timezone, and device type to run the shop and understand how visitors find us. We do not store your full IP address. We do not use GPS or ask for your device location. We do not use third-party cookies or ad pixels from Meta, Google, or other ad networks. We do not sell visitor lists.
3.5 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect your Google password, Facebook password, or any other account passwords. You remain the owner of your Google Business Profile and Facebook page, and you keep your passwords. We do not collect information about your browsing activity on other websites. We do not collect precise geolocation information from your device. We do not collect biometric information. We do not run background checks or collect government-issued identification numbers.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the Service. Specifically, we use your information for the following purposes:
- To Provide the Service: We use your shop name, ZIP, phone, and other information you provide to build and host your one-page website, to assist you in setting up or claiming your Google Business Profile, to start a Facebook page for your shop, and to post photos you send us to your Facebook page and update your website.
- To Place Your Business on Online Platforms: We use your shop name, ZIP, and phone number to submit your business information to Google Business Profile (with your participation and consent), Facebook, Apple Maps, Bing Places for Business, Yelp (free business claim), Nextdoor Business, and Foursquare, so that customers can find you on those platforms. This is a core part of the Service.
- To Communicate With You: We use your phone number to text you about the Service, including to ask for hours, towns, and website preferences, to confirm receipt of photos, to send you preview links, to assist with Google and Facebook setup, and to respond to your questions or change requests. We use your email address, if you provide one, to send payment receipts.
- To Process Payments: We use payment information (processed by Stripe) to charge the monthly subscription fee and to maintain records of your payment status.
- To Maintain a Shop File: We keep an internal shop file (a record you do not have direct access to) that contains your shop information, photos, payment status, website settings, and notes about the Service we provide to you. This shop file allows us to maintain your website, schedule and post your photos, and provide ongoing service without requiring you to re-enter information.
- To Improve the Service: We may use aggregated, de-identified information to understand how the Service is used and to improve it. For example, we may track how many shops have started the Service or how many photos are typically sent per week, without identifying any individual shop.
- To Comply With Legal Obligations: We may use or disclose information as required by law, such as to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to comply with tax, payment processing, or business recordkeeping requirements.
5. How We Share Your Information
5.1 Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who help us operate the Service. These service providers include:
- Hosting Provider (Vercel): We use Vercel to host this website and the one-page websites we build for shops. Vercel has access to website files and may process usage data in connection with hosting services.
- Payment Processor (Stripe): Stripe processes credit card and debit card payments. Stripe receives and processes your payment card information and provides us with payment confirmation and receipts.
- Phone and Text Messaging Tools: We use phone and text messaging services to send and receive text messages with you. These service providers process phone numbers and message content to deliver messages.
We require service providers to use your information only to provide services to us and to protect your information consistent with this Privacy Policy.
5.2 Online Platforms Where We Place Your Business
As part of the Service, we submit your shop name, ZIP, phone number, and photos to the following platforms so your business can be found by customers:
- Google Business Profile
- Apple Maps
- Bing Places for Business
- Yelp (free business claim)
- Nextdoor Business
- Foursquare
Once your information is on these platforms, those platforms' privacy policies and terms of service govern how they use, display, and share your business information. You remain the owner of your Google Business Profile and Facebook page. We assist with setup and post updates, but we do not claim ownership of your accounts on those platforms.
5.3 We Do Not Sell or Share Personal Information for Advertising
We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell a list of shop names, phone numbers, email addresses, or photos. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not participate in advertising networks that track users across websites.
5.4 Legal Obligations and Protection
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to (a) comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, (b) protect and defend our rights or property, (c) enforce the User Agreement, or (d) protect the safety of users of the Service or the public. This may include sharing information with law enforcement, tax authorities, or payment processors as required by law.
5.5 Business Transfers
If We Post It or Sunset Gaming LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or bankruptcy, your information may be transferred to the acquiring or successor entity. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your information by posting a notice on this website or by text message.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and to comply with legal and business obligations. Specifically:
- Active Service: While you are paying for the Service, we retain all shop information, photos, and records necessary to provide the Service.
- Hosted Website: Under the terms of the User Agreement, if you pay for the Service, the one-page website we host for you remains online for four months from the first successful payment. During that period, we retain the website files and associated information.
- Payment Records: We retain payment records, including the fact that you paid, the amount, and the date, as required by Stripe, tax law, and business recordkeeping requirements. This may be up to seven years or as required by applicable law.
- Legal and Compliance: We may retain information as required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
- After Cancellation: After you cancel the Service and the hosted website period expires, we may delete or anonymize your information, except for records we are required to retain for legal or tax purposes.
7. Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You transmit information to us at your own risk. If you believe your information has been compromised, contact us immediately by text.
8. Age Restriction
The Service is intended for adult business owners who are 18 years of age or older. The Service is a business-to-business service, not a consumer product and not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete that information. If you believe we have collected information from a person under 18, contact us by text.
9. Your Choices
9.1 Access and Correction
You may text us at any time to ask what information we have about your shop or to request that we correct inaccurate information. We will respond to your request within a reasonable time.
9.2 Deletion
You may text us to request that we delete your shop information and take down the website we host for you. We will delete or anonymize information we control, subject to the retention periods described in Section 6. However, we cannot delete or control copies of your business information or photos that have already been published to Google, Facebook, Apple Maps, Bing, Yelp, Nextdoor, Foursquare, or other platforms, or that have been shared or saved by other people. To remove information from those platforms, you must contact those platforms directly or manage your own accounts on those platforms.
9.3 Stop Text Messages
You may reply STOP to any text message from us to opt out of receiving further service-related text messages. However, stopping text messages does not by itself cancel your monthly subscription or delete your information. Photos and service communication happen by text, so stopping texts will prevent us from providing the Service. To cancel your subscription, you must separately text us to cancel or follow the cancellation instructions provided when you started the Service.
9.4 Cancel Subscription
You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time by texting us. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund. See the User Agreement at /legal for full cancellation terms.
9.5 Language Preference
The language preference stored in your browser (English or Spanish) can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's local storage or cookies. Instructions for clearing browser data are available in your browser's help documentation.
10. Third-Party Sites and Services
The Service involves placing your business information on third-party platforms, including Google, Facebook, Apple Maps, Bing, Yelp, Nextdoor, and Foursquare. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those platforms. Each platform has its own privacy policy and terms of service that govern how it collects, uses, and shares information. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those platforms. Similarly, Stripe's handling of payment information is governed by Stripe's privacy policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you interact with.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, the Service, or applicable law. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes, we may notify you by posting a notice on this website or by text message. Your continued use of the Service after the updated Privacy Policy is posted or after we notify you of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
12. State-Specific Rights
If you are a resident of a U.S. state with specific privacy rights (such as California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, or Utah), you may have additional rights under state law, including the right to request access to or deletion of your information and the right to opt out of certain types of data sharing. As described in Section 5.3, we do not sell your personal information and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If you wish to exercise state-specific privacy rights, contact us by text. We will respond to your request in accordance with applicable state law.
13. Texas Law
Sunset Gaming LLC is a Texas limited liability company, and the Service is operated from Texas. This Privacy Policy and our handling of your information are governed by Texas law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes relating to privacy or data handling will be resolved under Texas law and, to the extent litigation is necessary, in the state courts of Texas.
14. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or about how we handle your information, contact us by text. The text number is provided when you start the Service. We are not a law firm, and we do not provide legal advice. This Privacy Policy is not legal advice. For the full legal agreement governing the Service, see the User Agreement at /legal.
15. English Language
This website and certain communications may be available in Spanish for convenience, but English is the binding language for all legal terms, including this Privacy Policy and the User Agreement. In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the English version and any translation, the English version controls.
